Dr.  Hovav is the Head of Logistic Policy and R&D department at Logistic Division of Clalit, globally recognized as the second-largest HMO. Among his responsibilities are leading efforts to enhance Clalit logistic policies, streamline processes, and drive innovation. In practical terms, concentrating on optimizing supply chain's efficiency, maintaining smooth operational continuity, and leveraging data-driven insights to shape Clalit's logistic strategies.

Previously, Dr. Hovav was the operational manager of Clalit's supply administration (COO). Among his responsibilities were the supply chain operations (over 400 employees), supply chain planning, and inventory optimization of 2 advanced distribution centers supplying to over 900 pharmacies, 14 hospitals and 1500 clinics.

Before being the COO, he was the Director of planners and supply chain optimizing department at Clalit.  

Dr. Hovav holds a PhD and MA in logistics from Bar-Ilan university, and MA in business administration from New York Polytechnic and a BA in business administration.
