What is technology management?

Technology management focuses on the design, development, operation and use of technological products. It concentrates on providing various services to organizations and companies in order to increase their efficiency and value in the market. Technology managers are key people in the organization who are able to locate these technologies, integrate them into the daily work and get the most out of them. They are responsible for implementing the technological infrastructure and maintaining the effectiveness of hardware devices, software, networks and communication systems.

Organizations in the 21st century need employees with managerial ability and unique interdisciplinary training, which combines business management and technology, which will allow them to make data-based decisions in high-tech environments.

This innovative course is the first of its kind in Israel and the only one that combines business management studies with technology. Smart technology management includes supervision of the process for all its components, from the development phase to marketing to the customer, from leading the procurement process to the implementation of the best technological tools for the type of organization, its goals and budget. These skills require unique training, knowledge and experience that the innovative study track for technology management provides.

Technology managers are in demand by various and varied entities such as financial companies, insurance companies, government organizations, medical entities, manufacturing companies and in fact any business that deals with a large amount of customers and employees. Also, unlike many other degrees, a degree in technology management is not only a theoretical degree, but a practical degree that prepares you today for the most important and considered jobs of tomorrow.

  • Technological project manager: managing and leading technological projects in various organizations, including development, planning and execution.

Business Negotiation CourseDr. Anat Levi-RazThe course aims to provide knowledge and skills in business and organizational negotiation. It covers theoretical and practical concepts of negotiation management, case studies, and the development of a managerial toolkit. This course also includes practical negotiation skills and offers selected students the opportunity for industry internships (optional).

 

The program reflects the dynamic and developing nature of the field of technology management and is therefore frequently updated and new courses and study topics are added to it every year. inter alia,

Courses dealing with artificial intelligence and machine learning, decision making in decision support systems in a big data environment, e-commerce, programming in Python, and more have been added to the curriculum.
